The two photocopiable books in this series contain high interest and fun activities that will help teachers introduce science to children in the first two years of school. Both books contain twelve sections. Each section consists of a teachers' page and three activity pages for students. The teachers' page contains background science information, advice on how to use the activity pages, suggestions for oral and written work, and ideas for incorporating ICT. The student pages contain a variety of activities that provide opportunities for students to develop skills in scientific investigation and procedures. Specific skills developed include: asking and answering questions; making predictions; using simple equipment; following instructions; making and recording simple observations; and much more.
