This 60-page photocopiable resource book supports teachers and learners in developing and applying specific research skills. Though this resource could be used as a complete unit of work it can also be used flexibly to match the learning needs of specific students. For example, at the completion of a unit of inquiry a teacher may find that a students learning was incomplete because they lacked an appropriate skill in one area. There should be an activity sheet here to support the teaching of that skill. Undertaking inquiries or doing research involves asking questions, seeking definitions, searching for information, evaluating information, building knowledge and presenting information. These components of research are interwoven and may take place several times within a particular inquiry. This book provides specific support and learning opportunities at all these levels.
