In three photocopiable books, the Musical Notes series offers an innovative combination of teacher ideas and student activites for teachers working in the area of Music Education with 5-6 year olds. Book A is titled 'Rhyme and Rhythm'. It looks at music making with an emphasis on rhythm. Activities feature clapping, understanding pitch, chants and rap, and simple notation. Book B is titled 'Listening and Performing' , and develops skills in pitch, timbre and texture, tempo and dynamics, and structure and rhythm. Book C is titled 'Songs' and contains a collection of songs and rhymes supported by a range of oral and written activities. These books can be used by teachers with no musical training.
