This two book photocopiable series helps teachers and junior students to set up living environments for a variety of small creatures so they can be cared for and studied inside the classroom. There are fifteen minibeasts covered in the books, including beetles, ants, crickets, snails, lizards, tortoises, frogs and earthworms. Thorough teacher notes on each minibeast cover its general characteristics and life cycle, plus full information on creating an appropriate habitat inside the classroom. Three fun student activity pages are provided for each minibeast. These activities integrate learning about the creature with a range of curriculum areas, such as basic numeracy and literacy.
